Declaration on Masonic Associations

Issued by the Sacred Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith on November 26, 1983.
It has been asked whether there has been any change in the Church's decision in regard to Masonic associations since the new Code of Canon Law does not mention them expressly, unlike the previous Code.
This Sacred Congregation is in a position to reply that this circumstance is due to an editorial criterion which was followed also in the case of other associations likewise unmentioned inasmuch as they are contained in wider categories.
Therefore the Church's negative judgment in regard to Masonic associations remains unchanged since their principles have always been considered irreconcilable with the doctrine of the Church and therefore membership in them remains forbidden. The faithful who enroll in Masonic associations are in a state of grave sin and may not receive Holy Communion.
It is not within the competence of local ecclesiastical authorities to give a judgment on the nature of Masonic associations which would imply a derogation from what has been decided above, and this in line with the Declaration of this Sacred Congregation issued on 17 February 1981 (cf. AAS 73 [1981] pp. 240-241).
In an audience granted to the undersigned Cardinal Prefect, the Supreme Pontiff John Paul II approved and ordered the publication of this Declaration which had been decided in an ordinary meeting of this Sacred Congregation.

Rome, from the Office of the Sacred Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, 26 November 1983.

Freemasonry and the Christian Church

by Russ Wise

Freemasonry: Its Background and History

There are probably few subjects as shrouded in mystery and misunderstanding as that of Freemasonry. Known under a variety of names (the Craft, the Brotherhood, the Order, the Fraternal Order, the Lodge, etc.), Masonry has been aligned with both the Christian church and the occult. [...Omissis]

The history of the Lodge is not easily discernable. Along with those who believe that Freemasonry had Christian beginnings are a growing number of Masonic authors who espouse an occultic origin for the Craft. [...Omissis]

There are those who indicate that the Craft was an outgrowth of the Ancient Mystery Schools or that it was first associated with the Druids or the Illuminati. [...Omissis]

When links were missing, they have been supplied by drawing upon fertile imaginations (1).

Christianity and the Craft

Leading Masonic authorities in the 18th and 19th centuries held a distinctively Christian interpretation of Freemasonry. Such leaders as Rev. James Anderson, William J. Hughan, William Hutchinson, Rev. George Oliver, and others had a Christian view of their Craft.(2) Hutchinson, in particular, noted that Jesus Christ was the example for the Master Mason. He stated: "The Master Mason represents a man under the Christian doctrine saved from the grave of iniquity and raised to the faith of salvation. As the great testimonial that we are risen from the state of corruption, we bear the emblem of the Holy Trinity as the insignia of our vows and of the origin of the Master's order"(3).

The Anti-Masonic Movement

The decade between 1826 and 1836 represented troublesome years for the Masonic Order. After several incidents that cast a negative light on Freemasonry (4), a growing anti-Masonic sentiment began to emerge. As a result, there was a mass exodus of Christians from the Lodge, thereby creating a vacuum to be filled by those who held a non-Christian view of Masonry [...Omissis]. The paganization of the Lodge took place over several decades, but it did not reach public awareness until the latter part of the 19th century. Even so, it was not until the 1920s, when a large number of books began appearing in print that claimed pagan origins for the Craft, that these efforts became widely known.

Masonic Universalism

The anti-Masonic movement dealt Freemasonry a severe blow. However, the exodus of large numbers of Christians proved to be a stabilizing factor (5) for the non-Christian forces of the Craft. [...Omissis] - The majority of these new Christian members represented church leadership and accepted the Christian interpretation of Hutchinson, Oliver, Hughan, and others. Their influence, however, wasn't enough to offset the growing paganization of the Lodge.

Manly P. Hall, a 33rd degree Mason, was one of the early authors who claimed a pagan origin for Freemasonry. In his book entitled " The Lost Keys of Freemasonry", he says that Freemasonry is not a material thing: it is a universal expression of the Divine Wisdom. "The Masonic order is not a mere social organization, but is composed of all those who have banded themselves together to learn and apply the principles of mysticism and the occult rites"(6).

Hall (and a host of other writers including Pike) created a pagan history for Freemasonry that would later take root and grow to become the accepted understanding of Masonic origins. As this new interpretation took hold in the minds of the membership, Christianity was being all but eradicated from the Craft. It became unthinkable to mention the name of Christ or to pray in the name of Jesus. The Craft was set firmly on the ground of "universalism".

The primary standard for membership was, and continues to be, that the candidate believe in "God". This god could be Krishna, Buddha, Allah, or any other god, but Jesus Christ is not to be considered anything more than their equal.

This universalist, or inclusive, idea about God has opened the door for every false deity to have a place within the Lodge [...Omissis]. - The Mason who is a Christian is put in a very difficult position. Although his Fraternal Order supported his Christianity in its early years, it now no longer allows for it as there is no question about the pagan orientation of Freemasonry in our day. Therefore, the Mason must ask himself whether he can, in good faith, remain a part of an organization that devalues the God of Christianity.

... [Here I report only the titles of the paragraphs that follow, or the meat of the paragraphs].

Freemasonry as a Religion

- [...Omissis - Basically many of them substain to be a religion]

The Masonic God

The god of Freemasonry and the God of the Bible are not one and the same. There is a great difference between the two concepts of God. The Masonic god, "The Great Architect of the Universe" (G.A.O.T.U), is believed to be above all other gods.

According to Albert Pike, all people, regardless of their spiritual orientation, can unite under the "Grand Artificer of the Universe." The Masonic god is all-inclusive and all-embracing. All potential Masons must acknowledge a "God" in order to gain membership in the Lodge, but there is no definite criteria regarding which "God" is implied or what "God" is acceptable. [...Omissis].

In other words, the biblical God is reduced to the level of all the other gods and at the same time rendered as equal with the false gods of those religions. Therefore, Christianity is stripped of its uniqueness as the one true religion that offers humanity its only hope for salvation.

This universal god of Freemasonry is believed by many within the Lodge to be the God of the Bible, but this god is not the triune God of the Christian faith. Freemasonry purposefully diminishes the co-equal and co-eternal status of Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. That is, the second and third Persons of the Trinity are placed below God the Father, disallowing the triune nature of the biblical God [...Omissis]. - Hall reveals in this passage that: The religion of the Craft is pantheism.

On the other hand, the God of Christianity is transcendent and only becomes resident within the human family, and then only when He is invited to do so. In Masonry, Jesus Christ is not accepted as being "One" with the Father and is not looked to for salvation [...Omissis]. - Jesus made his Father's requirements very clear: " It is written, You shall worship the Lord your God and serve Him only " (Luke 4:8). The Father says that "you shall fear only the Lord your God; and you shall worship Him ... you shall not follow other gods, any of the gods of the peoples who surround you, for the Lord your God in the midst of you is a jealous God; otherwise the anger of the Lord your God will be kindled against you, and He will wipe you off the face of the earth" (Deut. 6:13-15).

The Mason who professes to be a Christian must decide whom he will serve: the God of the Bible or the god of Freemasonry. He cannot serve them both.

The Masonic Jesus

The central question that every Christian Mason must ask himself is "Who is Jesus Christ according to the Lodge?" Earlier we saw that Albert Pike was greatly influenced by the occult and that he was responsible for the rewriting of the rituals for all the degree work beyond that of Master Mason.

Because of Pike's influence, Freemasonry has adopted a universalist approach toward divinity. According to Jim Shaw, a 33rd degree Mason who left the Lodge, Masonry teaches that Jesus was just a man. He was one of the exemplars, one of the great men of the past, but not divine and certainly not the only means of redemption of lost mankind. He was on a level with other great men of the past like Aristotle, Plato, Pythagoras and Mohammed. His life and legend were no different from that of Krishna, the Hindu god. He is the son of Joseph, not the Son of God" (18).

Jesus Christ is not to be looked upon as God incarnate, or as the Savior of humanity, but He is to be considered as no different than any other great spiritual leader or guru. To follow through with this conclusion, the Lodge does not permit the name of Jesus or Christ to be used in any of its prayers or rituals [...Omissis].

Masonic Light and Darkness

"Freemasons are emphatically called the Sons of Light, because they are in possession of the true meaning of the symbol; while the profane or uninitiated who have not received this knowledge are said to be in darkness"(21). In other words, the Mason has been delivered from the darkness into the light and is elevated above those who have not received the initiation into the degrees and mysteries of Freemasonry.

The "profane" individual, or the non-Mason, remains in darkness and is in need of light. The Mason, after being enlightened, continues to be in need of more light [...Omissis]. - Albert Pike, the Masonic scholar, speaks of this deception: "Masonry conceals its secrets from all except Adepts and Sages, or the Elect, and uses false explanations and misinterpretations of its symbols to mislead those who deserve only to be misled; to conceal the Truth, which it calls Light, from them, and to draw them away from it. Truth is not for those who are unworthy or unable to receive it, or would pervert it. So Masonry jealously conceals its secrets, and intentionally leads conceited interpreters astray" (22) [....Omissis] - Albert Pike speaks of Lucifer as the Light-bearer! "Lucifer, the Son of the Morning! Is it he who bears the Light, and with its splendors intolerable blinds feeble, sensual, or selfish Souls?" (25). The Bible identifies Lucifer as being Satan and an angel of light. According to Paganism, Lucifer is the bearer of the light that enlightens man's understanding of his Higher Self or his "God Self". Masonic author Foster Bailey says it this way: "Masonry therefore, is not only a system of morality, inculcating the highest ethics through which result, if followed, the conscious unfolding of divinity [...Omissis] - It portrays the recovery of man's hidden divinity and its bringing forth into the light [...Omissis] - the power to achieve perfection latent in every man". Masonry purports to be the Light that awakens man's mind to his perfection and ultimate divinity.

The question that begs to be answered by each Mason is simply this: "Which Light' will he follow, the true Light of Christ or the dimly lit light of the Lodge?"

The Hidden Things of Freemasonry

There is a great deal of secrecy in Freemasonry. From the very beginning the Entered Apprentice is kept in the shadows regarding the full meaning of the symbols of the Craft. He is not offered any further understanding. [...Omissis] - According to Carl H. Claudy ... the Masonic penalties are intended to inspire terror in the candidate. Claudy says that if a candidate breaks his oath, he will experience the abasement that any man would feel when he had broken a solemn pledge. But even more so, he would experience "the wrath of God blasphemed. The horror of a sin of which there is none greater" (26). [....Omissis] - The above statement is an example of the misinformation that the Mason often labors under. The idea that God recognizes and upholds the Mason's oath to a pagan god is simply not biblical. The Christian God is not a god of fear and misery, but He is a God of compassion and mercy. [....Omissis] - The Mason is not offering his loyalty to the God of Christianity, but to the pantheistic god of Nature. [...Omissis] - The greatest problem for the Christian Mason is that by taking the oaths of the Craft, and living his life according to them, he has opened the door to Lucifer to steal his relationship with the living God. [...Omissis].

Symbolism and Freemasonry

[...Omissis] - Our Lord was, at all times, eager to help his disciples recognize the truth of His teachings. The only problem they had to overcome was their lack of spiritual understanding. The gospel writer of Matthew 7 tells us that all we must do, is simply ask. "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him! "(32). The Lord desires to draw us near to Himself. We do not have to pass through veil after veil to reach divine understanding. [....Omissis] - However, as we have seen earlier, the Craft has undergone a paganization process by those who would subvert it to their own use. Whereas, in the early years of the Lodge, the symbols that were introduced revealed truth, in the present, those very same symbols and hundreds of others are used to mislead the candidate. Albert Pike made it clear when he stated, "part of the symbols are displayed . . . to the initiate, but he is intentionally misled by false interpretations"(34).

Jesus taught in parables and made use of symbols in His instruction. He freely offered understanding, and He was quick to help others recognize His Father. But when we look at Freemasonry we find secrecy and the "truth" concealed. A person must prove himself worthy in order for the "Light" to be shared with him. And when it is made known to the initiate, this "truth" is often hidden further in false interpretations. [...Omissis] - This attitude toward the Bible makes it clear that, for Masonry, the Bible is not seen as being inspired by God, useable for reproof, correction, or training in righteousness. Rather, it "is only a symbol of Divine Will, Law, or Revelation "(35).

Salvation in the Lodge

[....Omissis] - The greatest issue for the Mason, at present, is whether he will accept the life and work of Jesus Christ for his redemption or whether he will look to himself for personal salvation.
[....Omissis] - Foster Bailey, the author of The Spirit of Masonry, says that "Masonry is one of many ways to God" and that Masonry "is not only a system of morality, inculcating the highest ethics through which result, if followed, the conscious unfolding of divinity, but it is also a dramatic presentation of regeneration" (40).

In other words, Bailey is saying that Masonry is a vehicle for mankind to discover his divinity and achieve personal regeneration. This idea is totally foreign to the Bible. The Christian cannot, in any way, get beyond the fact that Jesus Christ as the Light giver and redeemer of humanity is opposed to the teachings of the Lodge.

The Bible distinctly teaches that salvation only comes through the person of Jesus Christ. It cannot come by any other means. The Scripture is clear that if we confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in our heart that God raised Him from the dead, we will receive salvation. It is not based upon our works or deeds; it is solely based upon what Jesus did on the cross.

Because Masonry does not have an understanding of the serious nature of man's separation from God, it cannot offer a suitable solution to his problem. The Bible tells us that man is in a state of separation from God and that he is in need of a savior. The Gospel writer of Mark speaks of the fallen nature of humanity. The Scripture says that it is what comes out of man that defiles him. "For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed the evil thoughts, adulteries, thefts, murders, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, sensuality, slander, pride, and foolishness. All these evil things come from within and defile a man"(42). Freemasonry cannot offer mankind an adequate solution to his problem of sin.

A Christian Response to Freemasonry

[....Omissis] - The Mason falls within one of four categories regarding his continued relationship with the Lodge (43). First, there are some who do not have a clear knowledge of Christianity. They believe that religion and Christianity are the same and that if someone uses the Scriptures, that person must be a Christian. Such people are sincere but untaught. Because they do not know what Christianity teaches, they see nothing wrong with Freemasonry.

A second category would be those who do not know what Masonry is and what it teaches. They are not only uninformed about Christianity but are equally uninformed about the teachings of Freemasonry. These individuals are without any theological foundation on which to discern truth from error. Likewise, they are often ignorant of the occult direction the Lodge has taken over the past few decades.

A third group is made up of individuals who profess Christ, yet continue as Masons regardless of how much they know about Christianity and Freemasonry. They are indeed in a state of rebellion and have chosen not to follow the truth of Christ.

The final group are those who profess Christ and yet have abandoned the Christian faith. Those who have embraced this position are essentially Unitarian in their belief. They no longer hold to the absolute deity of Christ or His blood atonement.

For the most part, all Masons fall into one of these categories. In some cases, it may be that the blame is not to be laid on the individual but on the Christian church for not adequately teaching its truths. The Mason has a choice to make, but the church has a responsibility to equip its people with the truths of the faith.

Jesus made it quite clear in the Scripture. He said "Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you, unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me, and I in him, he bears much fruit; for apart from Me you can do nothing"(44). It is difficult for the Mason to abide in Christ as long as he remains in the Lodge and follows its teachings. It is impossible to bear fruit apart from Jesus. He alone is the one who brings the fruit forth.

It is imperative for the Christian to deal with the question of obedience. It is impossible to serve two masters without loving one and despising the other. The root problem is often the fact that the individual has not been spiritually reborn. Once again Jesus says "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God ... unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God ... you must be born again"(45).

3) Southern Baptists Position -

Freemasonnry and the Southern Baptist Church

by Ed Decker

[....Omissis] - The Religion Writer, Thomas Morton reported that "Dr. Larry Holly, a Beaumont physician, and the Rev. Charles Burchett, pastor of First Baptist Church of Kirbyville, submitted a resolution at the June convention in Dallas stating that Freemasonry, often called Masonry, is 'not compatible with Baptist faith and message' ".

[....Omissis] - Burchett and Holly contacted me for permission to use portions of the text in "The Question Of Freemasonry" and distributed 15,000 copies of their resolution. Entitled, "FREEMASONRY NOT COMPATIBLE WITH BAPTIST FAITH AND MESSAGE, BOLD MISSION THRUST, OR COOPERATIVE PROGRAM", it created a major stir amongst the convention and its leadership.

It listed some six specific examples of how Freemasonry denied the Word of God and concluded: "Be it therefore RESOLVED, that we the messengers of the Southern Baptist convention meeting in Dallas, Texas, June 11-13, 1985, recognizing that the vast majority of men in Freemasonry are unaware of the occult, satanic, and sensual nature of Freemasonry, declare Freemasonry as a contemporary example of what God calls and condemns in the Word of God as 'profane.... Jewish fables' which cause men to question and turn from the truth, and... Be it further RESOLVED, that we urge all southern Baptists to hear the Truth of the Word of God when it says: "Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you" (II Corinthians 6:14 -17)".

The Hidden Hook

There continues to be some sort of hidden hook to all this uptight refusal to deal with the heretical practices and roots of Freemasonry within the Southern Baptist Church. There are solid Biblical cautions about secret societies and blood oath taking. [....Omissis]

However, just as every step along the ladder of advancement is filled with deeper commitment to the cause of Christ, each step is equally filled with Masonic ritual, terminology and metaphor. This is not some accidental coincidence, but a planned system of Masonic indoctrination, as you will see. [....Omissis] - The tone of the charge, the way the sentences are formed and spoken and words such as token, well done, travel, and journey are key Masonic words that are more than just subliminal here.

[....Omissis] - Some other simple examples are described in the instructions for the LADs, "You have just begun the journey to the mountain of adventure..." and for the Trialblazers (page 9), " Well done. You have advanced more than halfway up the mountain of adventure. Your token is in the form of a shield with a gold circle around it" ...and on it goes on and on.

Again, we must realize that these young men are being prepared by subliminal force to be comfortable so that when they are later enjoined to step into the trap of the Gnostic mysteries of Freemasonry they will feel on familiar ground. As that young man stands at the Lodge door, with a hoodwink over his eyes, a cabletow around his neck and his sleeve and pant leg rolled back, embarking on the mystical journey for higher knowledge and seeking the light of lodgery, he must think, "well, it can't be too strange. I did almost this same thing at church when I was in Royal Ambassadors. It must be OK".

That's is the gravity of the matter. In looking into the rituals with our understanding of the Masonic forces at work, the ceremonies appear to have been purposely established by this Brotherhood Commission to prepare young men for that darker initiation into the occult mysteries of Freemasonry. Look into the actual initiation rituals itself, on pages 25-27, and compare them to only one of numerous Freemasonic counterparts. You will see what I mean.

Candidate is blindfolded, right shoe and coat are removed, and left sleeve is rolled up slightly.

(In the Masonic ritual for Entered Apprentice, the candidate is blindfolded or hoodwinked, coat and shoes are removed, left arm is out of the shirt sleeve, left pant leg rolled up, slipper placed on right foot rope or cable-tow placed around neck).
ONE: (Leads candidate by left arm to door and knocks twice, sharply.)
(In the Masonic ritual, candidate is led to door and the steward seizes candidate's right wrist and raps three times on door)
TWO: (Knocks from within)
(In Masonic ritual, Senior Deacon raps three times from within)
ONE: (Knocks once.)
TWO: Who comes here? (He shouts, opening the door. Raps candidate on left shoulder.)
[...Omissis] - [Here follows a long, boring tale of the blaspheme Initiation Rites, that basically are built to trap the ignorant and the misinformate. So I decided to cut for space problems, however they are freely available online].

The Bishop Initiation

Specifically designed for Pioneers, this ceremony is set up with an air of secrecy and has even more direct ties to Freemasonry. It is detailed on pages 26-28 of the referenced Brotherhood Manual. [...Omissis] - [Here - once again - there is a ceremony that belongs more to the theater than to a Church].

In it, the Counselor is instructed to be secretive in the operation of the ritual. "It is suggested that this initiation service be known only to you, a few selected leaders, parents and those boys who have been initiated. [....Omissis] - The room is prepared such that there are sequential piles of cans, bricks, rocks, sticks and a ladder. A Bible sits upon a table. There is a second room opening up into this ritual room. The candidate is taken to this side room by the Director, where his coat is removed, his sleeves rolled up. The candidate is then securely blindfolded. He is then led to the door of the ritual room. ...the room is made entirely dark. The Counselor turns a flashlight on the Bible. With the candidate still kneeling, the blindfold is taken off and he is told that the world is in darkness without the Bible; that the Scriptures are God's light that comes from above..." The lights are turned on and the candidate is greeted by each member of the Chapter. This ritual is repeated for each initiate.

The parallels to Freemasonry are astonishing. First, we have the usual blindfolding, the sleeves rolled up and the secret raps and signals at the entry door between two ritual workers. The Brotherhood manual clearly instructs that the candidate must be asked if he is willing to "keep the secrets". This is asked in Freemasonic fashion prior to the young mans knowledge of any of the details of those secrets.

He must trust his Royal Ambassador leaders, just as he may be asked in later life in Freemasonry to trust the Worshipful Master. Of course, we have seen that the Worshipful Master will lie to the Entered Apprentice so that he is seduced into swearing the Masonic Obligation.

[....Omissis] - The bait and switch method of occult indoctrination is clearly present here. Why is it necessary to blindfold and lead these young men around some form of a lodge room? Why are Christian leaders asking young men to violate Scriptural warnings and swear oaths of obligation?

[....Omissis] - Both rituals require the same form of solemn obligation, both ask its candidates to agree to the ritual and obligation in advance of knowledge and by virtue an implied but absent free will; both use the metaphor of darkness and light and both recognize the leader and group as the truth bearers. Both require the candidate to kneel before a Bible to take their obligation. [....Omissis] In the obligation of this Degree, the candidate swears an oath of severe proportions. In part he states, I furthermore promise and swear, that I will keep all the secrets of a Companion Royal Arch Mason (when communicated to me as such, or I knowing them to be such), without exceptions. At the conclusion of this three page oath, the initiate is commanded to seal his oath by kissing the Bible (or other sacred book) seven times. One must wonder what dark secrets have been hid from the world of truth and justice under the guise of such fraternal fidelity.

The initiation ritual of the Shrine (The Ancient Arabic Order, Nobles Of The Mystic Shrine) is one that openly mocks the dignity of Christian integrity. The initiation ritual is designed with numerous sexual overtones and it is hard to imagine that any Shriner would want his wife or children to watch him.

In one of the least offensive parts of the Shriner ritual, we can see another connection to the Royal Ambassador initiation. "The candidates are hoodwinked and in stocking feet enter after three loud alarms (violent blows from the mallet). At first they proceed one by one on carpet, then upon a spread of corn husks, then a strip of stair cover or sheeting strewn with pebbles, followed by a ladder with close rounds, camp stools folded and a roller or any rough road most conveniently prepared out through hallways, etc."

We must realize that the young men going through the Bishop Initiation are being prepared to accept spiritual submission to the inner depths of Freemasonry without those spiritual warning bells ringing. Freemasonry will have that familiar spirit. It will bring to the surface those good feelings, that acceptance and approval by those in authority and those they love.

Perhaps you can now see what Larry Holly and Charles Burchett had their work cut out for them and why the National offices wanted nothing to do with the issue. To deal with it honestly would be the kiss of death to any career at the national level. I was told by one such leader, No one dares touch this sacred cow. Too many influential Pastors and Lay leaders are dedicated Masons.

Hot Potatoes

[....Omissis] - The printed commentary stated, "We appreciate the opportunity to be of assistance to you with regard to your inquiry regarding whether or not the Christian should be involved in Freemasonry. Without doubt, the Freemason organization and especially the Shriners and their particular interest in providing medical assistance to children, both burned and crippled, is to be commended. These humanitarian acts of charity are certainly showing forth the character of a Christlike compassion... It is unfortunate that there is not more charity being shown in today's society. Jesus Himself is our great example of One who willingly gave Himself compassionately to those who were in greatest need... Unfortunately, there are some individuals who condemn others to Hell for belonging to the Freemasons. They fail to understand the passage: For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved (John3:17). People are not condemned to Hell because of some organization that they do or do not belong to, but people are condemned to Hell because of their unbelief in the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal saviour... [....Omissis]

James Draper

During that time of family turmoil, when my Dad became so violently upset over my book, The God Makers, and the publication of my first article on Masonry, I wrote to several national Christian leaders who were Masons to seek their counsel in dealing with the dark side of masonry and its specific effect upon my family. One was Dr. James Draper.

[....Omissis] - I asked him, "Dr. Draper, how can a Christ centered Christian put his thumb to his throat in an oath? How can a Christian call upon the name of Jaobulon as the true God? Please! My father and mother talk about ending their lives and Dad has a very bad heart. I need help quick! I pray that you can speak to this problem before it destroys my family".

Dr. Draper responded in a letter dated June 18,1984. He stated that he was a 32nd degree Mason, having joined the lodge as a young preacher many years ago. [....Omissis] - He wrote, "I do not recommend anyone become a part of the Masonic Lodge. I have not been active for many years. From what I read and the things I have been able to find out, some of the additional teachings of the Masonic Lodge are very heretical and certainly not conducive to Christian commitment.

However, I have discovered that many Masons are not even aware of those things and feel they are actually extending their commitment through the Masonic Lodge. Do not ascribe to your father everything you have read about the Masons

The letter closed with the remark, "Again, let me tell you that I do not recommend the lodge". It was signed, In His Love, Jimmy Draper.

Jimmy Draper Demits

[....Omissis] - "In these critical times in which we live, I find that I must carefully identify myself with the Lord Jesus Christ and no other entanglement must be seen as competing with that commitment. The Bible tells me that 'If eating meat causes my brother to stumble, then I will not eat meat'. It is obvious that my membership in the Freemasons is a stumbling block to others. For that reason I must ask that my name be removed from the rolls of the [Lodge].

I make this decision after many months and several years of prayer and study. My love for you as brothers in Christ remains constant. I am not on a crusade to discredit Freemasonry. I simply must make clear in my own life that my sole and supreme allegiance is to my Lord Jesus Christ and no vow must be seen as competing in any way with my love for and commitment to Him

Let me note here that after the publication of this article, the SBA pulled these youth rituals that were so blatantly Masonic. The greater question is why were they there in the first place, and if I am not telling the truth, why pull them after I revealed them? Remember that most of the adult male membership of the SBA went through these Masonic rituals as youth. Is it any wonder that the SBA still sits joined at the hip to the Masonic leadership within the SBC?

Southern Baptists and Freemasonry: The Story Goes On... And On

by Ed Decker

[....Omissis] -

The Eight Problems With Freemasonry

  1. The prevalent use of offensive concepts, titles, and terms such as "Worshipful Master" for the leaders of the lodge; references to their buildings as "mosques," "shrines," or "temples"; and the use of such words as "Abaddon" and "Jah-Bul-On," the so-called secret name of God. To many, these terms are not only offensive but sacrilegious.
  2. The use of archaic, offensive rituals and so-called "bloody oaths" or "obligations," among those being that promised by the Entered Apprentice: [listed in original] or that of the Fellow Craft degree: [listed in original] or that of the Master Mason: [listed in original] or that of other advanced degrees with required rituals considered by many to be pagan and incompatible with Christian faith and practice. Even though these oaths, obligations and rituals may or may not be taken seriously by the initiate, it is inappropriate for a Christian to "sincerely promise and swear," with a hand on the Holy Bible, any such promises or oaths, or to participate in any such pagan rituals.
  3. The recommended readings in pursuance of advanced degrees, of religions and philosophies, which are undeniably pagan and/or occult, such as much of the writings of Albert Pike, Albert Mackey, Manly Hall, Rex Hutchins, W.L. Wilmhurst and other such authors; along with their works, such as Morals and Dogma, A Bridge to Light, An Encyclopedia of Freemasonry and The Meaning of Masonry. The reference to the Bible placed on the altar of the lodge as the "furniture of the lodge", comparing it to the square and compass rather than giving it the supreme place in the lodge.
  4. The prevalent use of the term "light" which some may understand as a reference to salvation rather than knowledge or truth.
  5. The implication that salvation may be attained by one's good works, implicit in the statement found in some Masonic writings that "Masonry is continually reminded of that purity of life and conduct which is necessary to obtain admittance into the Celestial Lodge above where the Supreme Architect of the Universe presides" (LA Monitor, page 79)
  6. Even though many Masons understand that the "purity of life and conduct" can only be achieved through faith in Jesus Christ, others may be led to believe they can earn salvation by living a pure life with good conduct.
  7. The heresy of Universalism (the belief all people will eventually be saved), which permeates the writings of many Masonic authors, which is a doctrine inconsistent with New Testament teaching.
  8. The refusal of most lodges (although not all) to admit for membership African Americans.
[....Omissis] - However, the report cautioned that "To be sure, not all Grand Lodges affirm Christian Doctrine, and many do not declare Jesus as the unique Son of God; but many do, and for this we commend them"(Ibid.)

[....Omissis] - Their final statement concludes with this: "We exhort Southern Baptists to prayerfully and carefully evaluate Freemasonry in the light of the Lordship of Christ, the teachings of the Scripture, and the findings of this report, as led by the Holy Spirit of God" (Ibid.)

5) Mormon Position -

[Handle with care: This article being written by a mason its full of subliminal masonry tacticals; basically its nothing else than a commercial advertisement. Obviously I leave the reader free to think everything she/he feels confortable but I felt like a duty to warn].

The Mormon Church and Freemasonry

Mormonism and Freemasonry are so intimately interwoven and interrelated that the two can never be dissociated. Mormonism was born in the throes of the holocaust provoked by the Anti-Masonic Morgan affair of 1826. What I shall attempt to cover is the period from the beginning of Mormonism in the 1820's, with its early Masonic ties, through social and political upheaval in New York State tied into the so-called Morgan Affair, the establishment and marriage of Freemasonry and Mormonism in Nauvoo, Illinois; the assassination of Joseph Smith by members of the Masonic Fraternity, the subsequent exodus to Utah by Brigham Young, the rejection of Mormonism by Utah Freemasonry, and finally the coming of universal Freemasonry to Utah.

The seeker of light on the subject of the interface between Masonry and Mormonism quickly becomes frustrated. The so-called literature pertaining to this subject is generally biased, prejudiced, unscholarly but most alarming is that written by individuals without the requisite background of each of the two organizations.

The Joseph Smith family was known and acknowledged to have been a close knitted one, where strong individual affection and loyalty existed between each of the members. It was a Masonic family which lived by and practiced the estimable and admirable tenets of Freemasonry. The father, Joseph Smith, Sr., was a documented member in upstate New York. He was raised to the degree of Master Mason on May 7, 1818 in Ontario Lodge No. 23 of Canandaigua, New York. An older son, Hyrum Smith, was a member of Mount Moriah Lodge No. 112, Palmyra New York.

Numerous attempts have been made to prove that Joseph Smith and his family where depraved, degenerate and disreputable persons. These documented facts, namely, the Masonic membership of Joseph Smith, Sr., in the Lodge in Canandaigua, and Hyrum's membership in Palmyra Lodge, are of the most significant importance. Being the elite institution it was recognized by the public to be at that time, and their active membership in two of the Masonic lodges of the area is convincing evidence of the stature and high esteem the members of the family enjoyed in the eyes and opinions of those who knew them best.

As touched on previously, the founding of Mormonism or the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, took place under the strikingly peculiar circumstances associated with the turbulent, tenuous atmosphere then gripping west central and up-state New York. This community unrest was primarily due to the vicious anti-Masonic furor which was triggered by the controversial disappearance of William Morgan. A booklet attributed to the vanished William Morgan appeared in Batavia, New York, in October of 1826 titled "Illustrations of Masonry," by one of the Fraternity who has devoted thirty years to the subject.

[....Omissis] - A number of incidents are recounted in the Book of Mormon concerning secret societies and evil practices indulged in by this type organization. Understandably, but mistakenly, the general public semantically considered Freemasonry to be the epitome of a secret society and consequently related Mormonism and Freemasonry at the same well spring. [....Omissis] - The rise of sentiment for the anti-Masonic party and all the publicity from stage presentations mocking the craft was further fueled by the public claims that Joseph Smith, Jr., had used Masonic work to produce the Book of Mormon. The public lumped them into the same basket and with the Masonic background of the Smith's, Mormonism and Freemasonry became so interwoven in the public mind as to be one and the same.

[....Omissis] - Much of the historical account dealing with the introduction of Freemasonry among the Mormons in Illinois and Iowa was and has been intentionally omitted and/or distorted by both the Masons and the Mormons. Let us start with the marriage of Mormonism and Freemasonry. On April 6, 1840, the present Grand Lodge of Illinois was formed by the Mormon Patriarch, Judge and General James Adams.

An interesting side note is that the Mormon Church was founded on April 6, 1830, The Nauvoo Temple was dedicated on April 6 and the Mormon Church teaches that the birth of Christ actually was April 6 (though they celebrate it on December 25). The early years of the Grand Lodge were fraught with great difficulty and not all lodges within the state joined it until the middle of the 1840s. Under the Grand Mastership of a complex and colorful individual, named Abraham Jonas and a Deputy Grand Master equally remarkable man named James Adams, the new Grand Lodge engaged in some unusual transactions with the Mormons of Nauvoo.

The motives and thinking of the men concerned in these unusual transactions have been a standing puzzle to Masonic scholars throughout the years. It is certainly one of the most devious and controversial performances in which American Freemasonry has ever engaged. It is my personal, considered opinion that it took an inordinate amount of persuasion on the part of the two self-serving opportunistic partisan politicians, Deputy Grand Master Adams and Grand Master Jonas, to induce Joseph Smith to sanction the introduction of Freemasonry in Nauvoo.

They planned on treating it as an elitist group open only to the selected few, but Joseph Smith insisted that it be open to every holder of the Mormon Priesthood, who had the interest to petition for admittance into Masonry. The sole exception would be the petitioner who had exceptionally negative qualities, known and acknowledged as such. In other words, Joseph Smith insisted that Nauvoo Lodge be an all-inclusive lodge.

Nauvoo had three lodges and Iowa had two [....Omissis] - The minutes of Nauvoo Lodge for Tuesday, March 15, 1842, shows Grand Master Abraham Jonas (Illinois Grand Master) opened the lodge in the 3rd degree of Masonry and conducted a public installation of Nauvoo Lodge "at the grove near the Temple".

The minutes then go on to show that both Joseph Smith, Jr., and Sidney Rigdon "were duly initiated Entered Apprentice Masons during the day." The record for Wednesday, March 16, ceremonies again lists the two candidates and shows that they were made fellowcraft and Master Masons at sight. The first five Presidents of the Church: Joseph Smith, Brigham Young, John Taylor, Wilford Woodruff, and Lorenzo Snow were all made Masons in Nauvoo Lodge. Also practically every member of the hierarchy was or became a Mason shortly after the Prophet was raised to the degree of Master Mason. [....Omissis] - After Freemasonry was introduced to Nauvoo, the lodge met in the upper room of Joseph Smith's general store while the new Masonic hall was being built. This was dedicated by Hyrum Smith on April 5, 1844, and used by the church and community for many community activities. It is worth noting that in the restoration of Nauvoo, the Mormon Church restored the building and calls it "The Cultural Hall-Masonic Hall."

An interesting side note on the influence that Masonry had in the life of the Mormons is the fact that the weather vane placed on the Nauvoo temple depicted an angel in priestly robes with the Book of Mormon in one hand and a trumpet in the other. The angel is wearing a cap on his head and above him are a square and compass. Religious antagonism and physical conflict increased and finally came to a head with the bloody murders of Joseph and his brother Hyrum when they were shot to death on June 27, 1844. Joseph Smith was a Mason in good standing of Nauvoo Lodge while Hyrum was the incumbent Master of the lodge.

On the morning of June 27, 1844, the citizens of Warsaw held a meeting and adopted a resolution to proceed to Nauvoo and exterminate the city and its people. In pursuance to the resolution, Colonel Levi Williams called together his regiment of militia and marched for Carthage where the Smiths had surrendered themselves upon the pledge of the governor for their safety. They were met on the road with an order from the Governor disbanding the regiment. Colonel Williams read the order and called for volunteers. Captain Mark Aldrich spoke in favor and Captain Thomas C. Sharp advised the troops to march to Carthage.

Captain Jacob C. Davis, who was then State Senator, refrained from speaking, but went with the mob and was present at the assassination. About 150 of the rank and file blacked their faces with mud and gunpowder. Arrangements were made for the guards at the jail to charge their guns with blanks which they would fire at the disguised men when they assailed the jail. This plan was carried out and the Smiths and their visitors, John Taylor and Willard Richards, threw themselves against the door to prevent the mob from entering. Shots were fired through the door, killing Hyrum instantly and wounding Taylor. Joseph Smith fired his pistol, which had been smuggled to him, wounding four of his assassins. Having exhausted his weapon, and the mob still trying to break down the door, he attempted to escape by jumping from the window but was stunned by the two-story fall when he hit the ground. Someone picked him up and placed him against a well curb. Joseph recognizing Masons in the mob cried out "Oh Lord, My God..." with his words being cut of by a volley of musket balls.

In order to show their approval of the murders, Warsaw Lodge, at their next meeting, elected Mark Aldrich as master and received the petitions of Levi Williams, Thomas C. Sharp and Jacob Davis. All who were under indictment of the murder. Warsaw Lodge eventually lost its charter, but not because of its support for the murders.

When the first Mormon pioneer company entered the Salt Lake Valley on July 24, 1847, under Brigham Young's leadership, a significant body of Masons entered with him. As of that date, the full Mormon Hierarchy was comprised of Masons.

A review of the 143 men entering the valley at this time shows how wide-spread Masonry had become among the Mormons. Three of the group were black slaves, 16 were young men not yet of age, which leaves 124 who might possibly have been of the Craft. Of these there were 10 whose age was not known, who with 38 others are not known to have been Masons. This means that 76 of the possible 124 left, or 61%, were documented members of the Craft.

Brigham Young, knowing both Mormonism and Freemasonry in depth, fully realized that nothing constructive or positive could result from a series of continuing exchanges over the years, judiciously instituted the inflexible policy that the Mormon Church had nothing to say publicly regarding Freemasonry. This position has been steadfastly and discretely adhered to for almost a century and a half, with very few exceptions. There is ample evidence that Brigham Young took his Masonry seriously and gave studious attention to its meaning and significance. This is evidenced in the many photos and paintings showing Brigham Young wearing his Masonic pins. It should be acknowledged that the vast majority of the Mormon Masons took their Masonic obligations most seriously and deeply to heart. Great numbers were devoted and dedicated Masons who truly loved the Order. Freemasonry among Mormons was not merely a fraternity nor a shallow and trivial fraternal experience. It was what it really is - a genuine brotherhood. Their lodge meetings were serious convocations entirely devoid of jovial lightheartedness and the strenuous, physical horseplay which characterized most frontier lodges. Their time and attention were fully occupied with the heavy demands of degree work.

The Mormons knew who the principals were in the killing of Hyrum and Joseph. They were also well-informed as to who the individual Masons were who participated in the murders. Significantly, the Mormons also knew and realized the vital distinction between individual Masons acting solely on their own initiative and the fact that the Masonic Order has in no sense participated as an organization. Brigham Young was especially cognizant of the fact that every organization has regrettable examples of members who are unable to measure up to the tenets and admonitions of the association.

The above factors are but some of the numerous reasons which prompted Brigham Young to declare a ban of silence on the Mormon experience with Freemasonry. In this day when men seek the roots of Masonry and frown on the old theory of it having its start in King Solomon's Temple they might find it strange that one of the worlds major religions that was once scorned by some Masons is a major supporter of this idea. The rituals and symbolism of the Mormon church are claimed, by revelation, to come from the rituals of King Solomon's temple and indeed a study of the Holy Scriptures brings many of these symbols to light and give support for the beginnings of our Craft.

The Beehive is an emblem of industry and recommends the practice of that virtue. Joseph Smith adopted the Beehive as the church and community symbol and Brigham Young added it to his personal seal. In Utah, Brigham Young erected a large home surmounted by a gilded beehive. This came to be known as the Beehive house, it being the home of, at one, 13 of his wives. It might even have resembled one. Several of the Temples display the beehive prominently on both their interiors and exteriors. It is the sole heraldic device on the shield of the State Seal and Flag as well as the Seals of the University of Utah and Brigham Young University. Three beehives are the sole adornments of the tabernacle podium and the immense beehive atop the old Hotel Utah overlooks the valley. The word beehive and deseret are used in the area business so extensively that the native-born scarcely notes them. Even the sidewalks are adorned with a tile pattern of the honeycomb. On the Temple itself you will see inscribed several symbolic items, along with the beehive you will find the Sun, Moon, Stars (Shaped like the O.E.S. star), The all-seeing-eye and the clasped hands. Across the street on the Relief building is prominently display a sheaf of wheat. This close resemblance to our craft was used by Utah Freemasonry for years as one of the reasons to bar Mormons for becoming Masons.

Freemasonry supposedly came to Utah on January 16, 1872, when the Grand Lodge of Utah was organized. This was an openly proclaimed and vigorously active anti-Mormon organization. It is not necessary to go into detail but simply state that shortly thereafter this uncivil, un-Masonic organization issued the untrue and dishonest assertion that the Mormon Temple Ceremony had been "borrowed" or "stolen" from Freemasonry. Such alleged claims were published by the Grand Lodge and kept alive in every manner possible until January 31, 1984, on which date the Grand Lodge of Utah repealed its long standing anti-Mormon resolution. As originally formulated, the false claim was made that the Mormon Temple Ceremony was so Masonic in structure that the Mormon Church was actually practicing clandestine Masonry. It is essentially on this alleged charge of being clandestine that the Grand Lodge of Utah publicly assumed and announced its anti-Mormon stance. This repealing action tacitly invalidated and repudiated the claim that the Grand Lodge had fostered for decades and at long last Utah Masonry came into line with the true spirit and meaning of Universal Masonry and joined truly the international order of Freemasonry as a related jurisdiction wherein true Masonry was finally acknowledged and practiced the former and ancient proponent of Brotherhood; the latter offering the potential of Christian Brotherhood.

To an idealist like me you would believe that each organization would reach to the other in a joint endeavor to be the guidepost of mankind. By its action of January 31, 1984, the Grand Lodge of Utah, with the support of universal Freemasonry, stretched forth the hand of fellowship to end the long standing contention it had imposed and started a new era of light in Utah.

6) A short summary -

More Churches

The Roman Catholic Church is not alone in denying its followers membership in a Masonic lodge. Many Protestant and Eastern Orthodox denominations have similar prohibitions for their communicants. In the U.S. the Lutheran ChurchMissouri Synod and the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod, which have a combined membership of 3 million, and all other major Lutheran denominations warn against lodge affiliation, but not all enforce the ban.

Among the other antilodge churches are the Christian Reformed Church, Church of the Brethren, Assemblies of God, Society of Friends (Quakers), Mennonites, Church of the Nazarene, Jehovah's Witnesses, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormons), United Brethren, Wesleyan and Free Methodist churches, and the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

General Booth condemned it for the Salvation Army. The National Christian Association was formed in 1874 to coordinate Protestant opposition to secret societies. On a worldwide basis the majority of Christians belong to denominations that absolutely forbid membership in a Masonic lodge or similar secret society. It must be admitted, however, that many of these Protestant condemnations have never been enforced and are dead letters today.

Churches and Free-Masonry

This article is due to be very short, about 3-5 pages, so I had no way to quote all the dozens and dozens of examples brought by the History: please be aware of this.

Chapter 1

... and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled" Luke 21:24.

Inasmuch in the Holy Bible there is no teaching of Freemasonry and secret associations who self-attribute noble principles, then we dont know where they come from, so we could try to ask them. Choosing a random Masonic site (1) we read that Freemasons think to attribute their origin to one or more of these:
  • To the Patriarchal religion
  • To the Ancient Pagan Mysteries
  • To the Temple of King Solomon
  • To the Crusaders
  • To the Knights Templar
  • To the Roman College of Artificers
  • To the Operative Masons of the Middle Ages
  • To the Rosicrucian's of the sixteenth century
  • To Oliver Cromwell, for the advancement of his political schemes
  • To the Pretender, for the restoration of the House of Stuart to the British throne

Basically neither the Freemasons know where they come from. So we can reasonably suppose that they invent their past on a dayly basis to accomplish the History. Or they invent the History to accomplish their material needings? The day in which the Bible will teach to gather in the darkness, to swear blood oaths, to practice occult rituals, often filled with sensuality, and to go around to kill and rob, I shall believe they are right.

If this was not enough, the History clearly shows when they entered the first time in Jerusalem - Crusade #1 commanded by Godfrey of Bouillon - dressed as clowns, they slaughtered with the same indifference Muslims, Jews and Christians, children and women. Choosing a random site with historical reports, in (2) we read:

- November 27, 1095, The First Crusade - In 1095 Pope Urban II declared a holy war, a Crusade, against the Muslims to make the Holy Land Christian again. He also ordered all heretics to be tortured and killed. With Urban's call and the Church's support, thousands of towns people found a direction for their frustration and hate, and they raped and murdered their way to Jerusalem. ...
- The Conquest of the Holy Land - By 1099 they had arrived by boat in Lebanon they captured Jerusalem by July 15, 1099 and killed 20,000 men, women and children in the process.

So how comes they wore a togue with a red cross in a white field - to defend the Christians - if not only for media purpose? What did they think to find in Jerusalem: the CNN?

Already here the keen reader acknowledges the paganism transvestited like Christianity; and it is not hard to imagine with the purpose to seek economic and business goals.

Chapter 2

"O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee; how often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen doth gather her brood under her wings, and ye would not! Behold, your house is left unto you desolate: and verily I say unto you, Ye shall not see me, until the time come when ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord..." Luke 13:34-35.

Then we can touch the second main point: in which God they believe?

Its amazing to note they do not worship the God of the Bible but an unknown entity they call GAOTU (Great Architect of the Universe): they accept the Christian, the Muslim as the Buddhist, the Induist as the Animist, the Atheist as the Theist. Indeed we read at (3): Freemasonry is a fraternity which includes men and women of every race, nationality and religion - that basically means they recruit every idiot on the face of the earth. Every one who is so idiot to let his/herself be impressed by esotheric dresses, weird occult-based theories to attract the poor in spirit; to talk not of their ability to change version day after day (this comes from my personal expierence). What makes a cult a cult is not its religion, whatever it is, but the practice of mind-control techniques, usually by a charismatic leader, that robs its members of their independence of thought" Frank Rich.

But lets get back to the historical matters and the masonic business. One of the example is in (4): In the December [1095] Godfrey started to amass followers; however he had little money to pay them and put out a rumour that German Jews would be massacred to avenge the death of Christ. The Jewish communities in Mainz and Cologne offered the Duke 500 pieces of silver, for each man, if he would spare their lives. - Defenders of the Christianity? They appear more like pimps! Fear, o folks, the time of the sword has come.

Chapter 3

"Come, I will show you the judgment of the great harlot who is seated upon many waters. ... The seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman is seated Rev.17:1, 9.

So the previous chapter leads directly to another main theme of the Freemasons: homosexuality and whoresdom. In (5) we read: " Urban II offer of full forgiveness of sins for Crusade participants brought forth hordes of volunteers who, under the banner of the Cross, massacred Christ's earthly brethren, the Jews, by the thousands all along the route to Jerusalem. The Crusade leader, Godfrey of Bouillon, vowed to avenge the blood of Jesus upon the Jews, leaving not one alive. Upon taking the City of David, the Crusaders chased the Jews into the synagogue and set it ablaze. Here is evident how the Church sold forgiveness. History says later they specialized by selling indulgences (forgiveness of the sins) for cash.

In this era we meet the following Popes (2):
  • Boniface VIII: Adultery and homosexual activity;
  • Clement V: Loved prostitutes;
  • Paul II: Homosexual, who liked bondage and lust. Died of a heart attack while being sodomized;
  • Alexander VI: Incest, adultery, illegitimate children, Orgies in the papal palace.
Lets go back to the Masons; from the History we know other couple facts: when Godfrey of Bouillon and his boys came back from the tour in the Holy Land, they burnt - live - the Great Master: for homosexuality; furthermore in (6) we read: On October 12, 1310, by his order [King Philip IV the Fair] and without warning, all Templars in France were arrested, and the royal seal was set on all their goods. Philip accused them of indulging homosexual lusts; so the Church had constitued its armed arm: the Templars.
The 22 March 1312 Clement V convinced a secret consistory to suppress the Order of the Templars by the Bull "Vox in Excelso". So after only about 70 years the association had to be disperded, how said the sentence: for exceeding homosexuality and robbery. About this a story enough complete is in (7).

Later the History shows how some Freemasonry reached the Scotland, and how the related connections with modern Scottish Rite were established.

So if we should still stop here, until now there is enough evidence of connection between Masons, homosexuality, murder and robbery, and Churchs, and the reason for which they care the secrecy of their brotherhood. But lets jump some centuries of boring masonic history and come to the modern times, to check interrelations between constituted power and masonry.

In (8) we read:
  • [... Omissis] - J. Edgar Hoover was a 32nd degree mason, homosexual, and worked intimately with the Illuminati. For those who haven't come out of Satanism, one way to explain to people how Satanic secrecy functions is to compare these Satanic families with the Mafia families[... Omissis]";
  • A Major Lauis Mortimer Bloomfield, Permindex's Pres. & Chairman, a key player in Hoover's Division 5, and a member of the Order of St. John of Jerusalem (The Protestant branch of the Knights of Malta) was a homosexual lover of FBI director J.Edgar Hoover. All the board of Permindex and many of its various subsidaries were in various areas in November 1963 carrying out the assasination and coverup. One of the covers for the Permindex operators/team was to pose as missionaries of the American Council of Christian Churches (ACCC). The whole reason the elite set up the extensive ACCC was to have a cover for their killing units" [... Omissis]
  • A number of Clinton's high appointees are homosexual. There is a high correlation between homosexuality and the occult and also a big correlation between the type of 'Jews' Clinton has chosen and Satanism. Historically, some of the most rabid anti-Christians are Satanists from Jewish backgrounds.

At this point I think no further comment is necessary. Not to mention that in USA between March 2002 and March 2003 - in only 12 months - 348 Catholic Bishops or Cardinals have been arrested or sued for pedophylia or homosexuality.

Chapter 4

Superstition is to religion what astrology is to astronomy: the mad daughter of a wise mother Voltaire.

How do LDS Church and Freemasonry relate? It appears that one of the mistakes of Joseph Smith was to be a Mason; furthermore the History showed that he was murdered by Masons. He came from a poor family and had no opportunity to study. So we can note once again how many Masons are guys with a low culture, that come enticed or lured by the earthly symbols, the atmosphere of occult and the sensuality found in many masonic ceremonies. Further evidence of this relation is well evidenced in the documents (9), (10), (11) and (12); to give only a couple of examples.

Beyond this, he [Joseph Smith] perhaps was a true prophet; and the History of the next decades will further proof that. But the damage was done, the tradition was spread and the following 4 Presidents of the Church were also Masons. Must be said however that there are differences between the American and the European Masons, altough not so tick.

However there is enough historical evidence that all the Masonries, beyond a Christian surface appearance, worship Satan, which in this age is the real Master of this world. I.e. if the Earth was filled by true Lord worshippers there should be not such evilness and witchness.

And every and each thing that is a symbol, is out of the Bible and cursed by the Word of the Lord, and is also the essence of idolatry and superstition. Whatever it be a molded calf, or a squad and a compass doesnt matter. The most of the People want a terrestrial symbol to adhore. This as matter of fact.

Over all these words, my testimony stands solid as rock : if the Italian Freemason philosophy had almost murdered me, and by personal revelation I joined this Church, why did the Italian LDS leaders (to which I asked literacy help - because being an historian and a mathematician absolutely I have no idea how to write a legal sue to present in a Court to be refunded of all the damage provoked by the Freemasonry; so that I could care my body whose conditions are strictly fruits of the Freemasonry philosophy by which my health appears gone) refused to help me, i.e. to go against the Masons? And I asked legal literature help, not a single dirty penny. How comes that the same Church can protect the murdered and the murderers? About this I wrote to the LDS First Presidency.

Not to mention that in the last 22 years - with or without a degree - my job has been the Software Engineering; among the methods we use to correct a computer program there is the socalled Trace Back. When I applied this to the Freemasonry history I found that all the Masonries, altough there is a general claim to descend from the Solomons Temple, there is enough evidence that the first secret associations come from the ancient Egyptian Priests, who established a business, had their masonic associations to steal the golden funerary endowments from the graves; and they had their signs and words. After my baptism two years ago I found that story; and a couple weeks ago while doing other searches for the purpose of this article, indeed my words have been confirmed; I found (in 13 - chap.4) that says: The Egyptians recorded in writing and pictures their rites and ceremonies, which made visible the condition of the order in those matters at the time, about 4,000 years ago. We read in those pictures the same lessons that are tought to us now, altough they are distributed through several degrees from the first to the thirty-second. [...Omissis] Then the pratice of secret associations was imported in the rising Israel. In fact in the same source, some pages later: The Hebrew carried Masonry with them when they fled from Egypt. And in ancient Caldeus Egyptus means what is forbidden, prohibited.

Here too there is some symbolism: if the Lord through Moses brought the people out of the prohibited, why several guys wanna come back if not for earthly purposes? And for terrestrial goods?

In the same age, two years ago, not satisfied at all I did more investigations, and going back in the History I found that the first secret covenant was made between Satan and Cain. In fact a couple days ago, always for this article, I found confirmation to my words, in (13 - chap.5) that repeats the same citation I did: And Satan said unto Cain: Swear unto me by thy throat, and if thou tell it thou shalt die. Tracks of this are in modern Masonry oath. Later is written ...and I will deliver thy brother Abel into thine hands. And Satan sware unto Cain that he would do according to his commands. And all these things were done in secret. And Cain said: Truly I am Mahan, the master of this great secret, that I murder and get gain. Wherefore Cain was called Master Mahan (Master Mason), and he gloried in his wickedness.

And these words are in a Mormon Scripture. So as I said I wrote to the LDS First Presidency, in the case the Lord claim back my soul. After six months I didn't get any answer. This episode recalls to my mind the words of the Ecclesiastes in 9:16 Then said I that wisdom is better than strenght: nevertheless the poor man's wisdom is despised, and his words are not heard. Or in the Letter to the Hebrew 9:16 No dead no testament. To be believed, for the sake of this Church, I hope that isnt required my blood, like Joseph Smith. But this is a personal matter over the purpose of this article.

So at the end of this other chapter of the History where are we? The most part of the work of Joseph Smith is true revelation [although I know there are many mistakes]; one of the things he was not aware is that both Lords Revelations and Satan temptations come through the same channel. And no marvel; for Satan disguises himself as an angel of light 2 Cor. 11:14.

What appears really weird is that being the Mormon religion apparently the most orthodox among the Christian religions, how comes the superstition? It is my personal idea (and personal received rivelation) that in the future my leaders will leave the superstition out of the Temples; the sensuality out of the Temple Endowment Ceremony; the symbols, Signs, Tokens and Words, and some of the garments with the compass and squad (14), and other idols out of the religion. And superstition is built on the sand. Otherwise the Scriptures say that everyone who does that will be destroyed. And the Bible can be believed. Over the Spiritual words in the material world there are also these words, that are valid for Mormons, Catholics, Baptists, Evangelists, whatever: He who begins by loving Christianity better than Truth will proceed by loving his own sect or church better than Christianity, and end by loving himself better than all. Samuel Taylor Coleridge.

Chapter 5

Leave the matter of religion to the family... The church, and the private schools, supported entirely by private contributions. Keep the Church and the State forever separate Ulysses S. Grant

After six millennia of unclear bounds, of dirty frontiers between Religion and Government, its time to repeat the Truth: Religion is for the Soul, the State for law, order, whatever. But must be understood by both that none of them can invade the other field: essential is the separation. Nevertheless one of the last laws approved in USA - pushed by Catholic lodges - has been the Governement contribution for private and religious schools. Will the average American tax payer be happy of this?

Is this branch of the history ended ? May it be true: how much sorrow and mourning could be saved!

After all this material what is the Freemasonry? Well, if this script was an hard-boiled thriller, could sound appropriate to use the definition a bunch of fags, but being an essay I cant use that definition, so let me better summarize.
  1. The History shows that basically there is a mix of everything is evil, witch and bad: homosexuals, pedophyliacs, murderers, robbers, occult rites, and so on, and - why not - intelectuals and students; and be clear there are honest, ingenuous or ignorant guys - heavily indoctrinated - who really believe in some high moral values that appear not guilty. Guys surely without sense of investigation, but come useful when its time of The March of the Idiots; that means when the Masonry is attacked, the rotten leaders hide themselves, and send the ingenuous chickens at the front. Its an old story.
  2. They use oaths, which are forbidden by the Bible that strictly classifies them as Paganism.
  3. I am glad they accept any God, but accepting any God means that Jesus Christ is not the central figure for atonement and consequent forgiveness.
  4. They dont recognize the word sin. Can you see why?
And what is the so well protected Masonry secret? The History once again helps us; unfortunately for the human kind its very simple, its the old Satan-Cain covenant: to murder and get gain.

Dont believe they accept only members with a beliefe, or faith. Nor believe they are Christian. If it was true, weekly or monthly they should purge their lists. So their suppossed Chistianity is only a fake appearance, to deceive the simpletons. And last dont let they impress you if sometime they give symbolic donations to hospitals or whatever.

May all the Masons be saved? Surely yes, if they leave the darkness, the oaths and most of all if quit to plunder the Country.

May the homosexuals be accepted in a Church? Surely yes, because as we have seen they recognize every God, and Our Lord Jesus Christ said: "he that is not against you is for you".

So - of course over robberies and murders - whats the problem? Its a big one: when come bad times or big problems, when its time to take a decision, the most part of them face the problems with the wrong behavior, the behavior thats marked their lives, and their ideas dont work, because already once in the life they did the wrong choice: a steryle choice. And this comes not only from the investigations but also directly from my personal expierence. Now Im not a racist but its my humble opinion that no freemason can occupy leading positions: if they deny the Masonry surely they can be accepted as members of any Church, but not leaders.

These articles recalled me the weird and the occult connected with the behavior of my earthly father, in the course of the last 40 years, and his rotten friends, rotten judges. Their constant search only of the pleasures of the flesh: women (if not boys) and good food, and endless suppers; their sense of denying every truth, trying exclusively to affirm an artifact reality; their sense to choke any third party personal iniatitive, or to deform it by their ways, so that might gain control upon the people.

Bur are we kidding? After those that may be my personal negative expierences, every Religion seriously deny to its followers the membership in the secret associations. From the analysis of the historical episodes is evident the violence, the homosexuality, the paganism and the pantheism of their habits. But Ive noted that every Church does not work enough to clean its own house: in many Churches still a blind sees evidence of hypocrisy.

There is only another one association on this planet that well care the occult and the related secrecy, and explicity request to its members to keep the secret: the Mafia. Only just five articles inspire a sense to run away from these guys. And this is only the tip of the iceberg.

Now my ideas are deeply religious so I looked around for other some point of view. So as you can see I did my good homework and drilled down the Internet sites related to Religions and History, seeking the historical evidence that can strength the Scriptures.

Altough I kept the research in an objective path, not allowing my feelings influenced me, the results are astonishing: not only they are sick but there is historical evidence they are sociopathic.

And if there are honest and clean masons, why do not they saw off the rotten branches? By example: why the Scottish Rite main Presidency does not discard the Italian Grande Oriente Lodge?

And another question: if Our Lord Jesus Christ already teached (a Christian) brotherhood, where is the needing to duplicate it if not for mafia purposes?

As well - for who has Faith - is clear how the Almighty will get rid of them.

Chapter 6

The very fact that Jerusalem is mentioned more than 800 times in the Bible makes it worthy of special attention (5). Previous chapter was not the conclusion, I wish to share and leave you something of solid to think about. President Bush belongs to the Skull & Bones secret society (22); Premier Blair (whose nickname at the college was Emily) belongs to Rhodes Scholars Lodge (22); Premier Berlusconi is a well known mason (most people forgot that he was also in the Italian scandal of the early 80s, in the P2 Lodge list; with such people like Gelli, Sindona and Calvi the Gods Banker; guys who, how the History shows, have largely robbed both to the CIA and Vatican. And the P2 Lodge was de facto the link between CIA and Vatican. At the time there were rumors - although not proofed - of connection between P2 and the murders of: a) Roberto Calvi; b) Pope John Paul I; c) Italian Premier Aldo Moro) (16), (17), (18), (19), (20), (21).

Pay a close attention - now and in the next months/years - to these three guys [Bush, Blair, Berlusconi]: I make for sure you will have something to see. Hint: have you noted into the last year how they confirm one each other?

And within 15 or 20 years how will they be remembered? With an acronym? Lets then choose their initials: BBB. Sounds good, isnt true? Oohh! I wrote it in bold letters, lets write it in lower case: bbb - uhm, better; lets try to apply to the text the italic style: bbb. A lot better now, doesnt resemble a 666? This comes said before, so that when it will be happened, you will believe.
In (15) we read: Their first and immediate aim is to get the possession of riches, power, and influence, without industry; and, to accomplish this, they want to abolish Christianity.
Of course I hope this is only a nightmare of mine, you know, being an analyst I have this mania to apply equations to everything.

Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind Albert Einstein.

Let me leave you a last reflection: The more I study religions the more I am convinced that man never worshipped anything but himself Sir Richard F. Burton.

Last question: could I ever become a Mason? Well, I dont care I am very poor, my health is in deep danger and I cant pay medical cares; as I dont care I cannot sell or buy: I do not accept the Mark of the Beast.

Take care, and may Our Lord bless and protect all of us in the forthcoming times.
