Google Project for 1 gb Home Hi-Speed Internet Connection

The Facts

Internet connections for home and business are slow and expensive. Mostly because all the ISP care only about profit, shareholders and dividends. They do no apply a policy favorable to the user. The user is seen only as a cow to be milked.

Present technology allows a fiber optic cable to be run to your house in a cheap way, and also monthly fees can drop. Google started a new project. It will bring an 1 gb connection to your PC. In the initial, experimental stage it will reach between 50,000 and 500,000 PC's.

One advantage is once houses and business have been connected with this "real" high-speed cable, everybody will enjoy a better Internet experience. Plus programs developers will code new applications able to take full advantage of the improved speed.
